WHS MAJORETTES

“WHS Majorettes are State and 2010 National Champions”

The Wellington High School Majorettes had an outstanding year. Under the direction of Coach Adrienna Brady, they received the distinction of the Best Performing Group in the Lake Worth Holiday Parade in December. 

In February, the Majorette Ensemble and eleven soloists earned a Superior rating in the Florida Bandmasters Association District Solo and Ensemble Assessment. This qualified them for the FBA State Solo and Ensemble Assessment in April in Ocala. At FBA States, the Majorette Ensemble earned straight Superior ratings as well. Soloists earning superior ratings were: Seniors Katie Lehmann, Jackie Payne, and Marianne Saa; Junior Brandi Griswold; Sophomore Lindsay Flicker; Freshmen Holly Fabben and Alina Robertson. 

The Majorettes were honored to receive a private invitation to audition for “America’s Got Talent” in Orlando in February and performed backstage with host Nick Cannon. They competed in the DMA Regional and State Competitions, earning 1^st place in 9 out of 11 routines.

Finally, in July the majorettes competed and won several first place titles at the DMA Nationals Competition in Boiling Springs, North Carolina. With that accomplishment they earned the title “2010 National Champions!”
